Today’s delivery to Maria & Johan and a preview for you

Maria & Johan lives in Växjö and later this year I will shoot their wedding. To get to know each other a little better we went out on a small engagement shoot when they were visiting Gothenburg.

I will not show you more right now, they will see the pictures first. But I’m very pleased, to say the least.

Icelandic photo in the center of Gothenburg with Elin & Elfar

Elin & Elfar live in Gothenburg, but they are both from Iceland. This Saturday they will get married here, with friends from Sweden and Iceland. And we have the honor to capture their day.

One Monday a few weeks ago, we met in Gårda in the center of Gothenburg and got to know each other a little better. It was a stroll from the old factories in Gårda, up past Ullevi to park at St. Mary’s Church and Stampgatan. The weather was absolutely fantastic as you can see, and they are super nice. I’m really looking forward to their day on Saturday.

Engagement session with the fantastic Johanna & Martin

Sometimes things turn out great. Two of my absolute best friends met for the first time almost two years ago. On my wedding. Martin from the gang of childhood friends and Johanna from the new friends. Katarina and I had placed them next to each other without considering that they both were singles. It was more with the thought that probably would have fun together. Same interests and such you know..

And it seemed that we did right. They are getting married now. And I have had the honor to photograph their day and evening. There are a thousand different superlatives one can use to describe how I feel but I will hold back the words.

Here’s the pictures from the engagement session we did this Monday. It started with heavy rain but after a while we could leave protective terrace go out and take some pictures in the garden.

Helena and Aron – Engagement Session on the ship M/S Stockholm

When Helen contacted me to shoot her wedding, we decided more or less directly that we would meet and talk. Since Aron is working at sea it took a little time before we got to it. Anyway, we sat down over a cup of coffee and talked about their wedding photo, the engagement session and a lot more. It really nice to get to know them. But it was also really exciting, Aron told me a lot about his work on the icebreaker, they told me about trips they’ve done, and much more. And when we talked further about settings for the wedding day we suddenly got it…

M / S Stockholm, a boat that Aron worked at some summers and Helena traveled with was in port Gothenburg to be winter-fixed. And we got free access. It’s a ship that during the summer brings tourists and scientists to Svalbard, to see polar bears and the incredible environment. It is a ship built in the 50ths after 1940-century drawings and have kept all the little details since. The ship was used in Peter Dalles new movie ” An enemy to die for ”.

The E-session was on board and around the ship. We started to go a little tour and take some pictures on deck and then we went ashore for a short walk. After that we went aboard and even went down into the engine room. Who knows, maybe it will become a white dress down there too?!

The whole time it was really super nice. Both Helena and Aron is one of those wonderfully relaxed and nice couple. A couple that you want to be friends with. Furthermore, their wedding to be super good looking!!! That I know! But until then you will have to make do with their engagement session from this december!
